How many SATA hard drives can i attach to the SATA ports on my P4P800
deluxe?

Two on the Sata ports plus two on your Promise controllers Sata raid ports
either as Raid or as IDE. Totally 4 SATA. Combinations: Two SATA Ide and Two
Sata Raid or four Sata Ide. Just set Bios for Raid or Ide for Promise. Sata
ports doesn't use Promise controller.

your talking about a P4C800 dlx and not a P4P800dlx

The P4P800 (dlx) only has2 sata ports and dosen.t use a promise
controller.
