P4G8X boot problem

Hi all,

i have P4G8X mainboard and p4 3.06 GHz on it. nothing else!
i just would like to test this motherboard so i connect the power
supply.
when i push the switch button on the case, i can hear the fan of the
CPU and the power sypply for just 1 second and after that i hear
nothing so no power!!

Seems to be a short circuit of the MB, be aware where you are placing the MB
on, you said you have the CPU and nothing else, I hope you put the memory...
at least !

even when i try to place the memory!
but how to debug the short circuit?
