P4C800 e problemi di accensione, come risolverli.

La P4C800 è molto sensibile all'alimentazione e questo difetto è riportato
in numerosi forum. Se l'alimentatore non è di qualità allora i problemi di
accensione sono tanti. diversi e anomali. Io avevo un alimentatore da 500 W
pagato 24 euro che non mi ha dato mai problemi con altre schede madri, ma
con la P4C800 mi dava problemi, il PC non mi si accendeva se collegavo un
Hard Disk P-ATA. Quando scollegavo tale Hard Disk , il PC si avviava
normalmente segnalando il ripetuto errore "overclocking failed". Il problema
non si presentava affatto collegando solo Hard Disk SATA.
Come ho risolto il problema? Ho montato un'alimentatore di qualità, un
thermaltake da 560 w pagato un pò salato (144 euro) e ora non ho più questi
problemi. Se avete problemi di accensione con la Asus P4C800 con errori
"overclocking failed" al boot, allora, provatela con un'altro alimentatore,
possibilmente di qualità.

Good advice, after buying a quality motherboard, you have to expect its
going to want a quality PSU, so I would rather
spend the $50 CAN difference buying a higher quality PSU, than spending that
same 50 getting anything higher than PC3500
for a 800fsb P4, if you cheap out on a PSU, the best damn RAM/CPU/MB/Video
card wont do squat, or wont do it reliably if it does.
