Hello All -

I have an ASUS P4800-E Deluxe and a single 120 GB SATA drive in my computer.
I want to exchange the 120 GB drive for two new 160 GB SATA drives in a RAID
1 (mirroring). Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to proceed?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

I recently installed two 200 gb hard drives in a raid 0 array and used
norton ghost 2003 to copy the image from a 250 gb ide hard drive. This
worked very smoothly. This was also on a P4C800-E Dlx. Install drives on
the raid connectors, set up the drives in the bios and then set up the array
when the computer boots and asks what kind of array to set up. Then, run
ghost and copy one partition to another.

Forgot to add that I first ran windows with the ide as boot drive and sata
array as second drive and loaded the raid drivers in windows before doing
the ghost.

Is this worth doing?

Is there any increase in program access?

Any real feel for the difference in throughput?

TIA
