[P4B533] Hardware monitor found an error

E

Emmanuel V.

Hello,

For last days, my P4B533 at boot time show an error : "Hardware monitor found an
error, press F1 to continue, DEL to enter setup". In bios setup, hardware
monitor page, i haven't any error (fan speed, voltage, ...) (contrary to some
posts i had read in this ng).

When rebooting, i never have this error...

Do you have any idea,

Regards, Emmanuel.

Try with other CPU fan, I had a case where fan didn't start fast enough to
be validated as functional.

Probably some fan is slow to start up, and by the time you get into the BIOS
it has sped up to an acceptable speed. You should be able to figure out
which one by disabling monitoring of the fans one at a time (I don't know if
you can disable CPU fan monitoring, but if you disable all the rest and it
still happens, it's probably that one).

Yes, you were right. My CPU fan was running about 1900rpm at startup,
and hardware monitor pop an error below 2000rpm.

Thx.
