Hey...hope someone can help, recently had to perform another format
and since then i've been having serious problems with connecting to
P2P with programs like kazaa and Torrent etc..have tried a couple of
these programs and i get the same kind of message with them all..i'm
hoping its a simple problem to solve as my internet works fine and
file transfer through other media such as MSN are fine.

Many thanks..Pelbee

Pelbee,

what message do you get? What exactly is your problem?

Do you use a router? If yes, what type? Does it have an SPI
(Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall and is it enabled?

The message varies mate... dependant on the program i'm trying to
connect with, but with programs like kazaa.. it just won't connect
(stays on 'Connecting....') i do connect via a router but as for
SPI..i don't know what it is and how to check for it :p

Pelbee,

for most file sharing programs you have to open and forward
certain ports on the router.
