Owner Password

My PC has XP Home Edition OEM, and presently after updating the .NET file(s)
from MS, I am now presented with the option to click on Owner to enter. I
would like to use a simple password however, as some small protection, and
NOT become an administrator, which I don't want to be. And what *should* one
do to change from Owner to Owner with password?

Basically I find the whole question of passwords/administrator maybe the
most confusing thing about XP.

Hi,

Control Panel/Users, create an account for yourself and give it a password.
"Owner" is a default account many manufacturers use for their buyers until
they set up accounts of their own.

Go to Start>Control Panel>User Accounts and create a password. And there
always has to be at least one admin account on the computer.
