overwritten pst file

HEEELP,
the IT-ers have overwritten my old pst file with a new XP copy. I can no
longer access it.
Can I get somehow a backup or access to this file? via via is fine. I really
need this pst.

all usefull tips are welcome.

If you are sure that the file has been overwritten, then it can't be
retrieved.

You would have to recover from your backup
You know that procedure you undertake to ensure you have a copy/backup of
all important data.
