Overwritten document

I have just saved an original version of a document over
my edited copy (rather a lot of work!). Please does
anyone know of any way at all I can get the edited
document back?

If you have enabled "Always create backup copy," then look for a "Backup of
<filename>.wbk" file (you'll have to display All Files to see it). If you
haven't enabled this option, now would be a good time to do so.
