Can I overlay a Graphic or Picture on TOP of a Video Clip? I have a captured
a video clip (with audio) on a Camcorder. The Video is a Class Room
Presentation with a Video of the Presenter talking. (Our Church Bible
Seminar) I swung the video camera over to the Presenter's Over Head
Projector Screen in ClassRoom when he referenced something on the OverHead
Projector. Now, I want to drop the Power Point Graphics (or Pictures) onto
the Video Clip at the times the Camera was filming the Classroom Screen. I
want to preserve the Audio Track to have the Presenters voice continuous, but
I want to superimpose (overlay) the original PowerPoint Graphics onto the
Video whenever the Presenter showed them on the Screen in Class. Can a
Picture (PowerPoint, Graphic, etc) be OVERLAID onto the Video Clip to replace
the Recorded Video frames while still keeping the same Audio Track? Any help
would be appreciated.... THANKS

This might be what I'm trying to do vs inserting a picture and having it
fade in and back out...that doesn't seem to be the look I'm looking for.
I'm not using Power Point, so, is there a way to do this with a jpeg
graphic...an overlay that fades in for maybe a second or two and fades out?
Thanks

Maybe an overlay would work for
you and you might even try shortening
the Picture Duration to 1 second
(Tools / Options / Advanced tab) and
then right click the file on the timeline
and add...Fade In / Fade Out.

(FWIW...Picture duration must be adjusted
before the image is added to the timeline)

I disagree with this. I adjust picture duration all the time in the
timeline. It's just a matter of deciding how long I want or need the
duration to be and adjusting as needed (by clicking on the right side
and moving it left or right until it's right).

You are correct, of course you can drag
the image to any duration you like. I was
referring to the fact that images already
in the timeline will not be globally affected
by a change in duration.

Pardon me for living.
