Is there any way to overlay two characters in Word? For example adding a dot
over any character to indicate time rate of change. It can be done using
Equation Editor but I am hoping for something easier.

See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Overbar.htm, but note that the Latin
Extended Additional character subset of Arial Unicode MS offers a number of
letters with a dot above.

Thanks, the EQ field with some raised character spacing on one of the
characters was just what I needed.
