Overheating, RAM, and Registry Problems

I downloaded a trial version of Super Utilities Pro 3.5, I don't remember
where I originally got it from, but here's a download link for 3.5:

I backed up the registry with the program first, then ran the
registry cleaner. I deleted all invalid entries. Later that night I went to
CompUSA and bought a gig of RAM, and later installed it. Awhile later I
noticed the computer fan would come on alot, even when just at the welcome
screen it would just suddenly come on. Also, sometimes at the welcome screen
the monitor would just go black, but a white mouse pointer was still visable
and able to move around. I restored the registry (with the same program)
hoping this would resolve the issues, it didn't. I tried doing a system
restore to a few days back, but it said it could not be restored to that
time. I tried a few other dates to no avail. I created a restore point, and
restored to it to see if system restore was working at all. It was able to
restore to then (obviously no help though as I just created it). Not sure if
the RAM could be a factor in the problem, just thought I'd include it just
incase.

So, can anyone help me?

Oh, and is there a place where you can talk to a live Windows XP expert or
something?

Oh, I forgot to include that pressing ctrl alt del when the screen goes black
at the welcome screen will bring the welcome screen back.

Ram is usually not the cause of the problem unless it is bad or does not
meet the specifications for your PC.
In any case you can always remove it and go back to your original memory
configuration as see what happens.

The black screen thing hasn't happened for awhile, the most important thing
is just how to stop the fan from coming on all the time D=

You need to quote at least a portion of the message to which you
respond. Many people read this newsgroup with a newsreader and only
have the most recent messages, not the whole thread.
