I just tried downloading the installer and got an MSI file.
Unpacking the MSI I found that it seems to be pretty
clean, at least at install. There were just files going to
the Program Files\AWS folder, and Registry entries under
HKCU\Software\AWS.
Aside from that there's an uninstall key and a Run key
to run the program at startup.
To clean up, delete the AWS folder and then run Regedit.
Delete the HKCU\Software\AWS\ key.
Delete this key if you find it:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Weather\
Also look here:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
That key determines what shows in Add/Remove. MSI-installed
software has a subkey with a GUID name: {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx ...etc.
Other software uses a named subkey, like "Mozilla Firefox". So to
remove the right key, look at each GUID-named key and check
the value for "DisplayName". When you find Weatherbug delete
that GUID key.
Deleting it that way, without going through Windows Installer
(which handles MSIs) you may leave behind a partial version of
the original MSI file somewhere, but that's harmless.
