Outside Volume Control Buttons

I have an HP notebool with outside volume controls. The
computer came with XP Home but i was able to upgrade to
XP Pro through school legally. However now the mute
button and the wireless search button will not respond
when pushed. Is there something that I can do for it?

Dan, try reinstalling the Sound drivers for WinXPpro. Go to HPs website
and look there.
