Hi all,

appologies if this has been raised before...but is there any way for Outlook
to

a) strip out HTML from incomign e-mail
b) block inline images
c) both A and B

Outlook express allows you to do this yet I cannot seem to find similar
functionality in OutlookXP. I was hoping OfficeXP SR3 would add this but
alas it does not seem to.

If the functionality is not just there, are there any 3rd part addons that
do this?

Outlook 2002 (part of Office XP) has a registry setting you can define:

In the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Options\Mail
create a DWORD entry named ReadAsPlain and give it the value 1.

This will cause Outlook 2002 to convert all incoming messages to plain text.
To disable the feature, either remove the value name or change its value to
0.
