Do you really mean Outlook, or are you referring to Windows Mail?
Outlook works the same way it always did.

Windows Mail does not have the identities feature that OE did.
If you really want the identities, there is a program available to add this
function.

You might want to try the newer Windows Live Mail, which keeps accounts
separate, and can access hotmail
 
Why can't I have 2 separate Outlook accounts in Vista without switching
profiles?
Like in XP Outlook Express - switch identies and have multiple accounts.
