I just installed Outlook Xp. When I open the software a
screen pops up asking me for Connection Details such as
server name, port, username, and password. The screen
has "Microsoft LDAP Directory"at the top. I have no idea
what this screen is asking for. I am not on a server.
It is a sony laptop running XP Pro. Also if I try to
access my address book I get the error message "Can't
Contact LDAP Directory server (81). I am assuming these
two problems are related.

Can anyone tell me what to do about this?

Thanks

Did you upgrade over Ol2000? It sounds like you did and you'll need to
create a new profile. Control panel, mail.

Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing directories or address
books>Next. Select the LDAP service and click Remove.
