Outlook XP too big

My outlook pst is very big (>1,5 GB)and therefore very
instable but I cannot delete anything as others may have
access on the outlook folders. My question: is it
possible to file/archive outlook folders or put aside and
have easy access at any time you want?
 
you can make more pst files to split up the big one. if you have stuff that
needs to be shared you may also want to look into server side public folders
on an exchange server.
