Outlook XP (2002) does not display Outlook Today page at startup

I'm using Outlook XP (2002) in conjunction with MS Exchange 5.5. All
available updates for Outlook XP have been applied (via MS Office update
page).

I have Outlook configured to display the Outlook Today page when I start the
application. It was doing so until recently. For some unknown reason, when
Outlook starts up now, it shows the Inbox as the initial view instead of the
Outlook Today page. If I click on Outlook Today, it displays the page just
fine.

Just not at startup, as configured in my options for Outlook.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this to happen?

Thanks in advance!
