Outlook will not Synch items to PDA

Microsoft Active Synch connects to Jornada 548 and synchs favorites. It
will not synch Outlook items. Receive two error messages twice while
trying. First is "No Profiles have been created. To create a new profile,
use the Mail Icon in the control panel." The second message is
"Synchronization cannot be completed because your personal information
manager (PIM) program cannot be accessed. Ensure your PIM program is
running and try to synchronize again. If your PIM program is running
restart lyour desktop computer."

I have tried repair of Microsoft Office XP Professional. I have uninstalled
the Microsoft Active Sync program and did a reinstall of Office. I have
removed profiles and rebuilt them. I have deleted partnerships and created
them.

I still have this solid error when trying to synchronize Outlook items.

Anyone with any suggestions?

Try a soft reset of your PDA.

Also, if you post this in the microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync group,
you will probably receive a faster and more expert answer. They deal with
all kinds of synching issues with the PPC.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer

Yes that has also been tried. I have worked with the activesync group and
have lost two threads during the time. I have tried everything they
suggested. It does seem to be something to do with Outlook and not the
ActiveSynch.

I was hoping that an Outlook expert would know where the answer was.
