Outlook will not close down - must be end tasked

KIWI

Hi

I have an Interesting problem and looking for ideas.

I have one user who is unable to close outlook. Outlook is configured to
connect to an Exchange 2000 server. The issue is specific to this users
account and does not appear to be related to the machine she is using or the
Office configuration. The reason I say this is that if I create a new Mail
profile under her logon and open another mailbox on the exchange server
there is no problem.

If I log into this "problem" mailbox using Outlook on another machine the
problem recurs but only when that particular mailbox is opened. If I use
another profile on this same machine then Outlook will exit OK.

Currently the work around for the user is to "End Task" outlook when logging
off the PC.

Any ideas?

TIA
KIWI

Another suggestion possibly is to pull all of the user's mail into a PST.
Delete the mailbox, make sure Outlook closes correctly, then create a new
mailbox, and pull the mai from the PST back into the new mailbox and see if
Outlook closes properly.

You are 100% right...rather than try and figure out how, what, where and why
I should just try the obvious.

thanks
