Outlook Web Access with IE7

I have tried posting this in the IE forum and got no help, so lets try here.
FIRST, I want to say I am running XP Home Edition Update 2. I am NOT running
exchange. I work email from home and access an exchange server at work. I can
sign in read, delete, and navigate just fine after installing IE7. However,
when I create a new message, reply, or forward a message and hit SEND, IE
crashes. I submit the error, of course. Those from MS in the IE forum say I
need an Exchange update. Of course, I can not even install that on my
computer. I went back to IE6 and have no problem. Any ideas, other than wait
until all the bugs are out? Does the exchange server at work need to be
updated or patched to allow access via a computer using IE7?

Uninstall the Microsoft Outlook Web Access S/MIME control. (If it is
installed on your workstation, it should be listed in the add/remove
programs applet in the control panel.)

Once you have the above uninstalled, ask the folks that run the Exchange
servers if they have applied update
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;924334&sd=RMVP. If
they answer yes, then you can reinstall the S/MIME control via OWA's option
page.

S/MIME is not in the list of things installed on my computer. Someone else
said it was under tools/manage add-ins. I will try that if I decide to put
IE7 back on my computer.
