outlook web access (email) problem

my company is using Exchng Server 2000 - they use outlook web access for
employees to access email from home. I am running vista home premium and
IE7.0.6. When I open web access and try to create a message, the portion
where I should be able to type my message is not useable - it is a gray box
with a red x in the top corner like something did not load. Have tried
refresh etc... no error messages regarding Activex or security settings.

what gives?

Tell your Exchange administrator that you're using IE7 and you need them to
apply the http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/911829/en-us hotfix
so that you can use OWA.

For future reference, microsoft.public.exchange.clients is actually the
venue for OWA.
