Outlook updates

Is there a way to either block Outlook from updating during Microsoft auto
updates or stop it from making itself the default email program? We use
Lotus Notes and actually need Outlook installed for the MAPI driver. We have
XP Pro and the users are setup as 'restricted users', so when the default is
changed back to Outlook, they don't have the rights to change it back to
Lotus. We have to log in as Admin and do it. The Outlook version is 2003.

Personnally I've never had OL change to default email app when its been
upgraded, so I cannot answer but maybe try a post to an OL specific ng
Though maybe a script or some such could be used to check default mail
handler, and change if neccessary?
