Outlook Unstable

This is Outlook 07 with Vista. Outlook has been rather unstable
today..very slow to download and also when trying to click a message it goes
to "Not Responding" for an extended period of time. Have tried rebooting a
number of times and uninstalled a Windows Update for Outlook that was
installed this AM but can't seem to get it to work properly. Do I need to
reinstall Outlook completely or could it be something else?

Did you try running Office Diagnostics (Help menu)

Thanks for the suggestion. Had not tried that, but just did .... it did not
identify any issues. All looked well to the diagnostics tool.

Additional examples of the problem: as I type email, sometimes the keys
will stop responding for 30 seconds or more and then eventually catch up.
If I try and move off the email during this period, I can see the mouse
cursor over the system tray or on my 2nd monitor, but bringing it back over
the email, it is not visible).
