I have lost my Outlook Today. When I select the button
that is suppose to bring up the outlook today interface
it brings me to my "Mailbox". It's like my mailbox has
become Outlook today. I have already tried:

Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options. Change the "Start
up in this folder" value.

Someone told me that was where to go to fix it but when I
go there it just asks me what folder I want to start in.
Which doesn't help me find my Outlook Today.

Can anyone help

Does starting Outlook with the /ResetFolders switch help?

Not to sound dumb. but how exactly do you do that?

Shut down Outlook. Click Start>Run. Enter
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\xxx\Outlook.exe" /ResetFolders

where "xxx" is your version of Outlook: 10.0 for OL2002, 11.0 for 2003. In
the case of OL 2000, you may be able to use just "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\Outlook.exe" /ResetFolders . In other words, just specify the
complete path to your outlook.exe image.

Have you tried right-click on OL TOday, Properties. Then check to show the Home Page for that folder?

Oops. That should be
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Officexx\Outlook.exe" /ResetFolders
where "xx" is 10, 11, 9, or nothing.
