Outlook Today does not run when starting Outlook

Outllook 2000 was intalled on my workstation by someone else other than me so
I don't know if they customized the install or not. Even though I can use
the cusomize button and the startup box is checked, Outlook always opens with
the Inbox being displayed. I have no trouble viewing outlook today when
selecting it and my tasks are properly displayed. Could altering the folders
list have had a negative affect? I believe at one time Outlook Today was
deleted and I added it back in. It reads, "Outlook Today - Personal Folders."

You can also set the startup folder by going to;
Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button Advanced Options...

Right, but it already reflecst that outlook today is the startup folder. I
changed it to Inbox and then looked to see if that changed the cutomize
outlook startup box and it was no longer checked. Going back to adavanced
options and selecting outlook today as the startup took as far as checking
the box on the customize option yet the inbox is still displayed upon
startup. Isthere a path problem related to personal folders being modified
at one point?

How do you start Outlook? Check the properties of the shortcut you use to
see where it points.

THANKS MILLY!!!!!! YOU ARE BRILLIANT!! That was a so simple yet it never
occurred to me. Opening it throuh programs instead worked like a charm so I
deleted my shortcut and created a new one and it works perfectly. Thanks!

It is always the simple things staring us right in the face that usually
solve the problem.

You are welcome and correct in your assessment of my intelligence. I might
also add that I am also very humble about it. <eg>
