outlook to outlook expess 6 (outlook from office 2007)

I had Outlook Express address I like to import to outlook. My Outlook
Express computer is out of order so that sides down. I open
outlook-file-import-outlook express-then tranferr. A window pops up saying No
other account? Do a have to get express going again then flashdrive it or
make a dvd of contacts from express,or cable transferr. Can i just tranferr
the contacts from OE6?

OE & Outlook has to be configured on the same PC
Does your new PC have OE or Windows Mail?
Is your old HD still accessible/useable or has it failed?

You have to copy the OE Identity to eg Documents on the Vista Pc, also your
address book, the wab file
Then import msg's into Windows Mail.
From Mail you export msgs to Outlook, via exchange option
Then in Outlook Import addresses
(Outlook has to be configured first)
