I asked this in the Exchange section and really got no answers so am trying
here. sorry if this is considered a double posting. We are running Exchange
2003 and Outlook 2003. In public folders we would like to use a Tasks
folder. Outlook allows you to create a "Tasks" folder but functionality is
removed, specifically the "Assign to" feature. Is there a way to enable the
"Assign To" action in a Tasks folder in Public folders? Thank you!

No, only tasks in your own default Tasks folder can be assigned. A public folder would have no way to process task request acceptances and updates.

Thanks. Odd though as the tasks in PF do allow for updates. I would have
figured with security and since the PF are accessed using an exchange profile
based on who you are and your PF rights you could assign, etc. Thanks though
as this answers my question.

What are you trying to achieve??
