Outlook Tasks for home use?

I know Outlook Tasks can be used to track and communicate partial progress
on work tasks in an office setting. However, I haven't tried using it at
home and wanted to get opinions from people who may have.

I want to have a gentle reminder system for home chores (changing filters,
sealing the deck, etc.) as well as other personal tasks (change oil in the
car, friends/family birthdays, etc.). However, I don't want to have full
visibility into tasks that are months and months out unless I instruct the
task itself to do so. For example, I'd like a facility where I could have a
gentle nudge a month before, a polite reminder a week before and some mild
nagging a day before.

Has anyone here been pleased with how Tasks work in a home setting and care
to share some practices and insights?

Thanks

I've used them for home stuff. You can use filtered views to try to limit
visibility to only the items you want to see. The multiple reminders you
have to manage a bit manually setting the first reminder during Task
creation then setting the snooze times later.
