Do you see the same behavior if starting Outlook in safe mode?
How to:
Start > Run
Type: outlook.exe /safe
OK button
If it starts fast then we can look at 3rd party addins, views, .etc.
Other things to tell us that might help...
1) What type of account(s) are you working with? (e.g. Exchange, POP3, IMAP,
Hotmail, .etc)
2) If something other than an Exchange account, how big are your .PST
file(s)?
3) Do you have antivirus configured to scan the .PST file(s) in real time?
4) Are the .PST file(s) located on a fixed local hard drive, removable USB
drive, or Network drive?
running outlook 2003 and have problem on initial open as it takes forever.
after initial open everything works just fine and response times are ok.
help
