Outlook should number of mails received when i work in contacts

I use Microsoft Outlook 2003 version. When we continue to work in contacts we
are not knowing how many new mails are received in outlook. We need to show
the number of new mails in the same sidebar in bracts.

This will allow the user to switch and read the new mails.

Hope this feature can be included soon.

Thanks & Regards

If you are in Folder List View and have the Inbox set to show unread mail
items, you will see the number. Sounds like you need to change your View in
the Navigation Pane. You can work on Contacts without changing to Contacts
View. Just click on the Contacts folder in the Folder List and the contacts
will appear in the right panel.
