Outlook should be able to import Mozilla ics calendar files and outlook
should be able to export to the ics calendar format. Furthermore, you should
be able to synchronize your calendar instantly (by subscription) with a
remote calendar of any file type.

Since Mozilla is the newer product, it is up to the Mozilla folks to make
their program compatible with existing programs, not the other way around.

icalendar is Internet Calendaring and Scheduling Core Object defined by
rfc2445. it is not a 'existing program' from 'Mozilla folks'.

support this format no only about compatible with mozilla, but all other
calendar application implements this format.
