Outlook should allow blocking entire countries, like *.*.jp

Outlook only allows filtering *.something.something for junkmail. It won't
allow filtering *.*.something so one can block entire countries when one is
sure that one will never receive email from the Netherlands for example

You can do this in just about every version of Outlook. What version are
you using?

I'm using Outlook/Office 2003. It takes domains in the form of
@something.something so it expects 2 parameter, the domain name and whether
it is .com, .org, .jp, .nl, etc. It will not allow me to just add .nl

I though myself smart and added @*.nl which Outlook excepted just fine but
that does nothing at all (it doesn't filter anything from the .nl). It
doesn't seem to process * as a wildcard.

You said you can do this in other versions of Outlook, how do you do it there?

I'm using Outlook/Office 2003. It takes domains in the form of

Click Actions>Junk E-mail>Junk E-mail Options, choose the International tab
and click Blocked Top-Level Domain List. Put a check in front of "NL",
"JP", and any other country code you wish to exclude. Alternatively, you
can create a rule that looks for ".nl" or ".jp" in the headers.

Rules don't use wildcards.

Edit the Junk Senders.txt file and add ".nl" or ".jp" to it.

Then you need to download Outlook's newest Junk Email update. Go to the
Office Update webpage and get it there.
