Outlook sending more messages then what is in outbox

Many times when I send an email it goes to the outbox and then when it
sends it seems like it is sending more then just the one I wrote. For
example, I just sent an email, it went to the outbox, when it finally
went out it was shoing 7 other emails being sent at the same time...

Any ideas ?

I have noticed exactly the same thing over the past couple of days - it's not
regular but I think it may be connected to the address I'm sending to. I'm
currently monitoring this but haven't noticed it since I started :O
