Outlook sending mail that doesn't exist

Hi
I have a recurring problem with Outlook 2003 (student and teacher). I
repeatedly see that Outlook is sending email even though there is nothing in
the outbox and I haven't created any new emails. This happens every 3-4
months. Last time(s) I contacted MS and the fix was to create e new profile
which worked for a while. This started again yesterday and I created a new
profile, imported my .pst files and it worked properly for half a day.

TIA

Possible undeliverable read receipt. See if this helps:

Thanks for the suggestion. The tool appears to be for Exchange Server. I
use a POP3. Do you think it's still worth a try?

Thanks

Harmon
I should also mention that I'm running XP Home SP2 and the above mentioned
fix appears to be for a different Windows OS

It's certainly worth a try.
