Outlook Send/Recieve

T

Tim Chandler

I use Outlook, not Outlook Express. Every time I
send/recieve I get an error that my Internet Connection
was interupted and to contact my ISP (comcast cable).

I still get all my e-mail and my e-mail goes out fine. But
this is a real pain in the behind! I talked to Comcast
and they told me to contact Micro-Soft, so I did. MS told
me to contact Comcast, and the CSR at Comcast threw his
hands up and told me Comcast had no idea what the problem
was and they did not have a solution for the problem.

Anyhelp would be appreciated!!

Thanks, Tim

Sounds like either a bad internet connection or possibly
a faulty NIC. Is this dial up or cable? I suspect dial
up or you probably wouldn't be having this problem. If
all else fails and good stand by for fixing weird
problems is to completely uninstall the program(including
all registry notes) and then reinstall.

Do you have an anti-virus program that scans your email installed? If so,
try disabling the email scanning portion (not the "runtime" portion) and see
if that helps. If so, see if there's an update.
