Outlook send/receive stalls on tying to send a read receipt.

Sending a message from my work e-mail address to my home computer, our work
requires a read receipt for all messages. My home computer, running Outlook
2003 hangs up and evidently can not send the read redeipt, it has been
stalling with an error for this action for three days

Usually when a msg is received containg a read receipt a notification would
pop up asking if you want to except / reject the receipt, Rejecting the
receipt doesnt impact on the msg
Read receipts may not actually be received by the recipient as their type of
mail connection may automatically remove them, and as above the receipt can
be rejected.
So if its some rule at work that read receipts must be turned on,
effectively its a waste of time
