My send/receive button has disappeared from the tool bar. The most recent
thing I did was I deleted an account I wasn't using, making a different
account the default. I have run the 'test feature' in the accounts section
to make sure that everything is working OK and it is. A copy of the
successful test message is appearing in the account mailbox.

But I am now unable to send any outgoing messages. I have tried
reinstalling the MS outlook upgrade to see if that would reinstall the send
buton, but it didn't work. If I open a message waiting in the OUTGOING mail
box, and click send there, nothing happens.

I'd hate to have to uninstall and reinstall the entire Office program becuse
of all the re-sysching I'd have to do.

Help!

Reinstalling won't help with configuration issues.

Version of Outlook?
What type of account did your remove and what type of account did you add or
set as default?

It's OL 2003. I removed an AOL.com account that I never used. The new
default is a POP/SMPT account.
