Outlook Security Message

I am sure this has been covered before but please help if anyone can. I get
a security message that says "Someone is trying to access your address
book..." and I am given the option to allow myself or not. This is great
security but the message appears when I want to write a new email. Then when
I hit "Send" and it repeats when I hit "send" after the auto spell check.

At first, I thought this was a great feature, protecting me etc. Now, it is
a major annoyance. What can I do? I did some research and the only advice I
have found is to get a Digital ID. The problem there is that I then can only
send messages to people I have sent the auto key to--I use a mailing list
for a hobby, and this could mean over 2000 people!

BTW, I have virus protection, Trojan protection, spyware protection and a
firewall behind a personal network. I am pretty well bomb proof.

I would like to eliminate this.

Do you have a full version of Adobe Acrobat installed? If yes, this is most
likely what is causing the security prompt. You can disable the PDFMaker
addin in Outlook while still retaining its function in other programs. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems for more information
on what registry key value needs to be changed.

ps - the enhanced security model can't be turned off. it is 3rd party
applications that need to adjust to the new security model.

Boy, yu nailed it. One small change to the registry and the PDF maker did
the trick.

Thanks to all and this forum.
