Hi somebody
I have a challenge regarding rules in Outlook, which I haven't been able to
figure out.
I have set-up my inbox so that every incomming message are not marked as
read before I have opnend the message and read them. I have made a rule that
look at the sender and than move the message from the inbox-folder to the
actual accounts folder in my set-up. The challenge is to set-up the rule so
it does not run before the message is actually read. I can not find any
condition that give me this functionalty, neither I can find a condition the
can expect un-read messages. This means that my rule is moving also un-read
messages and that is not what I want to acchive.
Can anybody help me with this matter?????

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Outlook keeps the received messages as unread by default (envelope icon
closed).
If you want to receive and read them in the inbox anyway and move the to a
different folder AFTER you read them, why not just rightclick them after
closing and select "move to folder"?

Hi Dave
Thanks for a quick respons, yes I am aware of that and this is acctualy what
I am doing, but I was looking for a way to make a rul that could do this
automaticly. I have an large amount of messages every day and sometimes I
just don't remember to move the messages.

Hi,
Rules are set for messages incoming from the server. You can not apply
a rule for a message after it was received and read in the Inbox.
