We are trying to deploy a new outlook profile to end user. I am using the
customize installation wizard to create the profile. I am enabling RCP/HTTPS
for this profile. If I let the enduser use this profile, it still tries to
connect via RPC for the initial profile configuration.

Is there a way for me to deploy this outlook profile without the end-user
having RPC connection to the internal network.

Your post sounds a little contradictory, or maybe I'm just not following what you're trying to do. Do you or don't you want to configure RPC over HTTP support?

RPC/HTTPS is configured.

Let me explained the situation. We want to deploy a new outlook profile.
The enduser works from home. He has no RPC connection to the office. If he
use the profile with RPC/HTTPS cofigured, I think that the initial connection
he makes still uses RPC.

I'm still not sure I understand. Are you saying that the RPC over HTTPS connection doesn't work and that, instead, it tries to fall over RPC over TCP/IP, which also doesn't work because there's no VPN or other connection?

For example, when you create a Outlook profile for the first time.. you need
RPC connection to the mailserver. Once that profile is created, you can go
in and add the RPC/HTTPS settings. From that point on, you can connect with
RPC/HTTPS.

I am saying, what if I never have an RPC connection, how would I deploy
RPC/HTTPS for endusers.

In theory, if RPC over HTTPS is set up correctly on the Exchange end, users should be able to connect via RPC over HTTPS without having to connect via RPC over TCP/IP first. That's what I'm asking: What happens when you try RPC over HTTPS?
