Outlook requests LDAP Connections details

J

I recently installed Office Professional Edition 2003
over Office 2000. Now, whenever I open outlook, I get a
dialog box entitled "Microsoft LDAP Directory." The tab
is titled "Connection Details" Fields are Server Name
with NULL highlighted, Port 3268, and User Name. While I
have looked in the Knowledge base and have asked others
to do the same, I have no idea what LDAP is. No matter
whether I choose Okay or Cancel it does then give me
access to Outlook. Also until I installed Office 2003, I
was able to sync mt Palm Tungsten T3 with Outlook. When
I try now, the same LDAP Directory Dialog box comes up,
anf no matter how I respond, neither my calendar or my
contacts are updated, Any suggestions.

Go to Tools->Email Accounts->Directories->View or Change and delete the LDAP
option. Then install the Outlook Address Book service. Close and restart
Outlook and your problems should go away.
