I just got a response to another question here and couldn't believe how
quick and useful the forum was for help. Thanks. I figured I would try
to post a question that has plagued me for quite sometime.

We use various codes internally to process emails. One of the codes is
"KC:" and people have "rules" to sort and process these emails. For
some reason, when you reply or forward a message with "KC:" as the
first 3 charecters in the subject header, Outlook 2003 decides to
delete the "KC:" and replace it with either "RE:" or "FW:". I've
chalked it up to mostly outlook trying to emiminate the "FW: FW: FW:"
issues with multiple fwd's, but this issue doesn't happen consistently
and that is what has me most confused.

Any ideas?

If you use "KC-" (without the quotes of course) rather than the colon, do
the rules run then?
