Outlook 2003

I am using a mandatory profile (and the Flex Profile Kit) on Terminal Servers.

The "Launch Microsoft Office Outlook.lnk" is created in the Quick Launch bar
the first time Outlook is started after inital logon.

Does anyone know a registry value or another way of stopping this from
happening when Outlook is launched.

The Outlook profile is automatically created by using the ImportPRF registry
entry in the mandatory profile. However I have removed this for a test and
the quick launch shortcut is still created

Thanks

Suggest you create the following registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders:

Data Type: REG_SZ [String Value]
Value Name: CommonDesktop
Value Data: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

Thanks

There is already a value "common desktop" which I assume will set a single
desktop for all users if I use the value you have suggested.

I did try creating a value commondesktop but it did not make any difference.

If anyone elsehas this problem I have fixed it by creating a shortcut of the
same name "Launch Microsoft Office Outlook.lnk" and set its attributes to
Hidden and System.

When outlook starts it cannot create another one
