I was wondering if I could copy my outlook.pst file from my XP system to my
Vista system and vice versa. I use mainly my desktop cpu with Office 2003 XP
on it, and when I go on the road I have a portable with Office Vista.

Anyway I found I was able to copy my Outlook.pst file from my desktop to my
portable - replacing the default file that was there - so I have all my
current info on my portable on the road.

Then I can copy that outlook.pst file back to my Desktop XP system so that I
can save anything I did when I was on the road. Very nice feature to have
this portability between platforms.

You can but I wouldn't advise it. 1st - there can be issues overwriting a
PST file - far better to copy it then use File | Open to open it.
In your situation it might be better using an online service you can access
from anywhere.

Gee, you mean use a non-Microsoft product ?

There is no such thing as "Office Vista". Both Office 2003 and Office 2007
run on Vista, as well as Windows XP.

Never overwite a PST that way. You'll corrupt the mail profile for sure.
