outlook pst / nk2

I'm struggling to backup and run scanpst.exe on my outlook.pst file? When I
run the scanpst, I only find a file that is nk2 which the process does not
run.

This problem just began to occur when I updated my treo handheld (cingular),
but my outlook works fine on my computer, just can't back up.
 
So when you run scanpst and browse to the PST file what happens ?? can you
find your PST file and what errors if any do you get on running scanpst ??

Diane - I'm no expert, so don't follow what autocomplete means.

Dave - I used the postings to see hidden files, so when I browse with
scanpst is doesn't find a pst file in the outlook folder. I change to view
all files, it shows an 357kb outlook file, I run it on this and it gives me a
cannot open due to nk2 file?

you need to go to Explorer's tools, options, view menu and enable display of
extensions - or search all hidden files and folders for *.pst. A Nk2 file
does not contain email data - it is a list of people you recently sent
email to.
