outlook.pst file size

When I look at the outlook.pst file size in Windows Explorer (Win Vista Home
Premium and Outlook 2007), it see 65mb or so. When I look at the mailbox size
in outlook, I see 4949 KB. Why such a large difference? I had done a search
for files over 250 KB and see nothing to account for this large difference.

Any suggestions?
 
Sounds normal to me. Why do you think it matters?
 
If you have deleted large numbers of messages or other Outlook data,
then you can compress your PST file to reduce its size.
