outlook problem

When I have outlook open and minimize it off my desktop, it just closes
completely instead of minimizing! Is there some mystery button I pressed
somewhere causing this and how is this changed? I would appreciate any help
you geniuses out there can give me.

I'll bet you're using Outlook 2003. See that little Outlook icon in the
system tray? Right-click it and uncheck "Hide When Minimized".
 
Hello Brian: Thanks very much. It was a very simple fix. Must have checked it
by accident while trying to configure a former employee's computer to suit my
preferences.
