Outlook Problem After Installing Microsoft FAX

I installed Microsoft FAX from my windows 98 disc. The installation program told me to reboot after installation completed when I rebooted, I could not start Outlook. Each time I try to start Outlook, I get the box on my screen that says "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". Pressing the details button shows the following

OUTLOOK caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:00000009

I do not want to uninstall and reinstall Outlook for fear of deleting my extensive contacts list. Can anyone help

You could first try the repair option using installation disk

Hold on here. What version of Outlook are you using? No current versions
support Microsoft Fax. The last version that did was Outlook 2000, but only
in Corp/Workgroup mode.
